LINDA

Yesterday, Linda told me how deeply she loves me. It has now sunk in, and it brings tears to my eyes.

She once told me, at that moment in the Cotton bowl (texas jam, 1982), she first looked into my eyes and fell in love (Journey was playing, and I think Linda had a tiny crush on Steve. I hate him).

I was 20, and I was running wild in Dallas, Texas. My direction was set that day. I wonder why I have everything in a person, I'm nothing special, although Linda makes me feel that way, 24/7. Is it luck? A religiou awakening? What....

in 1982-, She drove from Mckinney Tx. to Tulsa to see me while managing jobs, school and Chris. She even tried to "save me" when she pushed me away after her medical report came back positive in Tulsa. She told me to stay in Tulsa. I stayed with her and moved to Blue Ridge, Texas, and our life together took a new meaning (Texas, that is). Her love for me has never flickered.

I can't wait for her to wake up. I want to tell her how much I love her..............

TEXAS WEATHER

Linda and I have again dodged the worst weather. Baseball-sized hail, tornadoes and damaging winds developed just west of us. flooding, entire car lots wiped out by hail, and wind gusts of 70+ mph could have easily hit us........

Texas is such a great place. I plan to spend the rest of my life here, regardless of what weather comes, or the assholes that cross my path.........

Poncho

This is ponchos last day. He is too weak to even stand. We got poncho in '87, and has been a beloved family member all those years. I am up early this morning, loving on him.

I never had a cat until I met Linda. They are wonderful animals. So independent.

Poncho woke me up for 21 years. Always at the door when I came home from work. He will be missed.........

Received some recognition at work. I have been promoted to chief inspector. In addition to production inspection, management wants me to develop and implement ways to improve our quality. These parts are going into aircraft, and we all don't want to crash. Wish me the best, your life may depend on it.............

Vegas

5 days in Vegas! I had a great time, walked the strip nearly everyday. Spent the whole time sick, but managed to stay up with Tom, Lori, Deb and Phil. They have finished the construction along Vegas blvd., it' nice. I had never been to the Belagio, it's impressive. I heard that rooms are $250 a night there. I lost, lost, lost, so that was a disappointment. Resorted to nickel machines the balance of the stay, so the monetary hit was bearable.
